I gave my one dollar because I believe in what we’re building. I’ve lived long enough to know that real change doesn’t always come from big speeches or big wallets sometimes it comes from everyday people doing something small, consistently, and together. When I heard about the Power of One Campaign, it spoke to me. It reminded me of the old days when the whole neighborhood would come together to help raise a child, repair a home, or lift up a family. That same spirit lives in Camp Wakanda Forever. My dollar is more than a donation it’s my promise to our youth that we see them, we believe in them, and we’re building a future where they can thrive. If one dollar can help create that kind of legacy, then I’m proud to give it.”

As a mother of three beautiful children, I gave my one dollar because I want my kids to grow up in a world that believes in them. Every day, I work hard to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table, but I also think about their future their confidence, their opportunities, their sense of belonging. When I learned about the Power of One Campaign, it touched me deeply. Camp Wakanda Forever is exactly the kind of place I wish I had growing up: safe, inspiring, full of culture, full of love, and full of possibility. Giving one dollar was something I could do, even with my tight budget, to help create a place where my children and children everywhere can learn, grow, and dream without limits. That one dollar is my prayer, my hope, and my contribution to a better future for them.
